I don't know anything about Buttonwood, but it certainly looks much better. Is this tree fast grower or what? Does it makes easy new buds on the old trunk and branches?
I like it anyway.

Yes,yes and yes.Of course,when I create the new cascading branch it will take longer than a few months..;)
But it is true,they break back easily on old wood!You just don't know where they will sprout.
