The Knowledge of Bonsai Forum is an on-line community for the examination and discussion of the cultivation and technical design aspects of bonsai. It is meant to be a place where information concerning bonsai can be freely exchanged in a professional and straightforward manner without the obstacles commonly prevalent in other venues. As the Literati bonsai above suggests, this is a place for scholars of the art, this is the serious bonsaist's home on the web.

America's First National Bonsai Exhibition

The bonsai community is on the threshold of a historic event of such importance that it will no doubt change the state of the art in this country.

Articles and Discussion

The foundation of the Knowledge of Bonsai forum, our articles cover a wide range of subject matter concerning the propagation, cultivation, and styling of bonsai. Presented in a easy to use format, categorized by subject matter, and search-able with our new search function, this is by far the most useful collection of such articles on the web.

Articles are kept at the top of each forum and discussion can be had on individual articles as well as the subject matter of the individual thread. This allows for discussion on the subject matter in the same thread as the related articles are stored, for easy reference by all. All questions, answers and discussion kept with articles pertaining to the subject, what could be more useful than that?

Also unique to KoB is our commitment to providing our members with the best information, no matter where it may be located. In each category of our Article and Discussion section is a post called "Other Resources" where off-site links to related subject matter are given for ease of research.

Educational Galleries

The Knowledge of Bonsai Forum is dedicated to providing quality, educational, and inspirational content to all of our members. In fact, every aspect of the forum was designed specifically with education in mind, or galleries are no exception.

Instead of the typical "oh and ah" photo galleries, we feature galleries of Progressions, Demonstrations, and Workshopsthat show the actual "hands-on" design progress of various species that our members can learn from.

We feature a Photographs Gallerywhere members can post bonsai in various states of completion for discussion by the general membership. We also feature an Inspiration Gallery where great trees found in nature can be posted, discussed, and used by all for reference of growth patterns and inspiration.

We also offer the first English Speaking Three Dimensional Galleryso our members can see first hand all sides of great bonsai.
