This Week end I went in the Dolomites with my friend Giacomo looking for some yamadori and Thank’s to him now I’ve some pics to show here on my blog.

It’s time to return home !!!!!!!!

This massive mugo was collected in the Italian alps 3 years ago.

Here the tree before potting you can see the super moovement of the trunk and life veins.

But…… the problem was that the tree was 1.50cm long…….

Last year using a steel bar I was able to reduce it in 90cm. The trick was to close the big curves on the trunk very very slowly in a period of 6 months.

Last pics show the tree now . Very compact and ready for the first styling this autumn.

When I first saw this tree in the kokufù book n° 80 I followed in love with it.  After not more than five month Marco Invernizzi sended me pics saying the tree was avaiable……………………

Now in my place I only pruned it a little and repotted in a very good pot ,my friend John Pitt made for my tree.

Finally my garden is bigger

Last autumn I realized that I’ve too many trees so I had two ways ; sell someone but nooooooo way……………………….. or build a new part of the garden with stands and so on!

Here finish work with big help of my dear friends Rudy , Jhoe anf Juan.

One day of hard work and everything is done. Now need to put trees on it !!!!!

Can’t wait to see how will be full of trees …..

This time I’m working on a big quercus robur collected in the center of Italy 4 years ago.

The tree was trained by Alfiero Suardi the best grower for quercus and yews in Italy!

The tree was worked by the previus owner in this side but when I bought it I decided to change the front because in my openion the tree in the other side has more to show to the observer. Is always difficult to restile a tree already made but it’s also funny to put on it something from our soul!

We put some raphya to protect brances and we also bend down the apex .

I Bought this stunning big quercus from a collector because the tree was too big for him ……………… but not for me !!!!!

The tree had a first styling by Enrico Savini and than was let grow .

This winter I decided to give a secont stap to the tree and work on the dead part on the right.

The trunk is completly hollow so I wanted to connet the new deadwood with the hollow part.

The ramification without leaves ready for wiering!
